Thieves have targeted about 15 sheds at an allotments in Herefordshire.
West Mercia Police said tools were taken in the burglaries at the Drybridge allotment site in Hereford.
In most cases, however, the sheds were just searched after considerable damage had been done to locks and fixtures, a police spokesman said.
The incident happened some time between Monday night and the early hours of Tuesday. Police appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
