Two people were taken to hospital today with head injuries after a shelving beam fell on to them at a DIY store.

Paramedics from Great Western Ambulance Service were called to the B&Q in Imperial Park, Hartcliffe, Bristol, shortly before 1pm this afternoon.

An 8ft-high section of metal shelving had collapsed, injuring a customer and a worker.

A Rapid Response Vehicle and an air ambulance attended.

The men, both believed to be in their 50s, were taken to Bristol Royal Infirmary by land ambulance with minor scalp wounds.
