Beach Hut Resorts at Dukes Walk will feature luxury seafront huts with bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living area to rent from £300 a week.
Being in the north, they also sensibly come with double glazing, full insulation, as well as a host of nifty mod cons from power shower and microwave to hi-fi and wi-fi.
The company plan to open similar huts at coastal locations across the UK.
Beach Hut Resorts’ Alex Miller says: “These could really transform the traditional British seaside holiday by offering affordable, luxury accommodation only metres from the beach.”
Each hut will sleep two to six people and each resort will be attached to an art gallery and have 24-hour security and a concierge service.
