Sheds as Art : Great Beach huts – Scallopers Shelter Kirkcudbright

Some great Arty sheds added to readersheds – the event they were at is over but I wonder if they found a new home?

Special “tri shed” is unique in being an installation on The Kirkcudbright Art and Crafts Trail. Visitors can sign in and leave their messages in the memory box pod. They can also place a pin on a world map where they have travelled from. Seen from any angle the colours a striking and sure to make you smile. Scallopers are closely linked in their harbouside location and the shells provide a wonderful adornment

  1. Loved this picture, and wanted to know… are they standard sheds?
My travelling, collapsible musical shed is very heavy, and needs a large van
and a couple of strong men and me to move it and reconstruct it. Do you, or
any of the sheddies, have any ideas what I could use to make a small,
stable, light ,shed-type shelter of similar size to the ones in the above
photo. I'm thinking flat pack…. ikea style…. but with my copyright easy
    peasy wing nut, "Tool-Free-Erection-Experience"!
