John Lewis have this summerhouse in their range that allows you to eat outdoors in the British Summer – ie when it rains – as its totally undercover 🙂
not sure if it’s a shed of the year winner. mind but it’s a a shed design not seen many of, and solves the weather dilemma if you have £50 less of 10k to spend on a shed.
or of course you could get one of their PODS 🙂
Doesn’t the eating area constitute a veranda? The current documentation on the government’s Planning Portal website states that any out building with a veranda requires planning permission. It is an odd rule that is so vague as to imply that any sheltered space outside of the main space of an outbuilding is considered a veranda and needs planning permission.
I was reading this legislation recently and found it odd. Then I thought perhaps it means you can build a free standing shed without planning but you can’t build a balcony on your house. That’s how I’m going to interpret it anyway.
